My Approach
I have found that there is no single approach that works best for everyone. Therapy is both an art and science and what works best differs depending on the individual and the issue at hand. My approach is grounded in creating a safe, encouraging and judgement free environment for my clients. I draw from many theories of counselling. One evidence-based treatment I utilize is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also work from a trauma centered, strength based and attachment perspective.
I have worked with a diverse range of clients but my private practice is primarily aimed at couples or individual counselling for adults and adolescents (13 years+). I offer face to face counselling in my office in Kelowna as well as counselling over the telephone or via Skype. Telephone or Skype counselling may be suitable if you have difficulty travelling to the office or require more flexible counselling hours.
